China’s electric tricycles are gaining huge popularity across the globe. Xuzhou, a major production base in Jiangsu, saw its electric tricycle exports hit 168 million yuan from January to April 2026, up 87.1% year-on-year. Products made here are exported to more than 130 countries and regions.
These low-cost, energy-saving three-wheelers are widely used for cargo delivery and short-distance transport. Manufacturers are now expanding markets in North America and Europe, besides traditional markets in Africa and Southeast Asia.
The complete local industrial chain helps factories quickly adjust designs to meet different overseas rules. Industry insiders believe global demand will keep rising as more countries push for low-carbon transport.
